Amboseli Game Reserve
Just 250 km south of Nairobi, Amboseli is dominated by Mt. Kilimanjaro. Elephant, black rhino, lion, leopard, cheetah, giraffe and buffalo are to be seen here in addition to such plains game as zebra and eland.

Aberdare National Park
160 Km north of Nairobi, the Aberdare are made up of thick rain forests and spectacular waterfalls. On the upper plateau of the Aberdare National Park, eland, small antelope and rhino are to be found. Almost 8,000 ft. high is Ark with its salt lick and from where you can see the elusive bongo, elephant, rhino, buffalo and giant hog.

Meru National Park
A drive of 360 km. North-east of Nairobi is Meru which was the setting of Joy Adamson's experiences with Elsa, the lioness of "Born Free" fame. Elephants, lesser kudu, oryx, reticulated giraffe and rhino are to be seen here.

Maasai Mara Game Reserve
About 270 km south of Nairobi the Maasai Mara is known for its migration of huge herds of wildebeest from and to the Serengeti Park in Tanzania. Famous for its black-manned lion and elephant, the Mara also has leopard, cheetah, rhino and buffalo.

Nairobi National Park
Some 8 km. from the City, Nairobi National Park is made up of rolling plains, forest and part of the Athi River. The African lion and a variety of animals may be seen here. The Animal Orphanage, for orphaned and wounded animals, is situated at the main gate.

Lake Nakuru/Lake Bogoria And Lake Baringo
These three Rift Valley Lakes constitute one of the greatest bird sanctuaries in the world with the largest concentration of flamingoes on record. Between 160 km and 270 km from Nairobi these lakes are popular destinations for bird watchers.

Samburu Game Reserve
About 360 km north of Nairobi, Samburu is a small and attractive Game reserve on the banks of the Uaso Nyiro River. Known for its reticulated giraffe, Grevy's zebra and the long-necked Gerenuk, this reserve has elephant, rhino, leopard and cheetah.

Tsavo National Park
